Join us on Sunday, April 10th - PALM SUNDAY after Mass in the Parish hall we will have a small luncheon before we show The Passion of the Christ. The film primarily covers the final 12 hours before Jesus Christ's death, known as the Passion. It begins with the Agony in the Garden in the Garden of Olives (or Gethsemane), continues with the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, the Scourging at the Pillar, the suffering of Mary as prophesied by Simeon, and the crucifixion and death of Jesus, and ends with a brief depiction of his resurrection. The Passion (from the Latin verb patior, passus sum; "to suffer, bear, endure", from which also "patience, patient", etc.) is the short final period in the life of Jesus Christ.
